Week 26

 
Becca Ryan









 

Becca Ryan is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the volleyball and track and field team. She is also a part of Lakewood's Peer Mediation program and a member of the Civics Leadership Group. Outside of school, Becca belongs to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and she plays softball for Salina Fusion. Becca says the best part about school are the team 5 teachers because she feels like they push her to work harder and prepare her for high school. After graduating from high school, she plans on playing softball at the college level while majoring in education where she would like to become an elementary school teacher. In her spare time. Becca enjoys playing sports, going camping at the lake and spending time with her dog, Chico.

Kadyn Cobb











 

Kadyn Cobb is a senior at Salina Central High School. She participates in school activities by being captain of the basketball team, a member of the cross country and track team, the people's editor of the yearbook and a member of Math Relays. Outside of school, Kadyn participates in the Relay for Life as event co-leader. She says she enjoys math and science classes and also yearbook and art because she gets to be creative. Kadyn says she also loves her basketball team because they are her best friends. After graduating from high school, Kadyn will be playing basketball at Missouri Western State University while majoring in biology with a pre-dental emphasis. Kadyn says she has two sheepadoodles that she loves a lot.

Kieragan Warhust











 

Kieragan Warhurst is an eighth grader at South Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the guitar program, Healthy Lifestyles and Be Strong Leadership team. Kieragan says her favorite subjects at South Middle are FACS with Mrs.Welsch and Advanced Guitar with Mr. Gerry. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending college to become a photographer. In her spare time, Kieragan likes taking photos, playing the guitar, babysitting and singing and dancing.

Courtney McCullough











 

Courtney McCullough is a junior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the golf team, secretary of FCCLA and Link leader of 2 link crews. Outside of school, Courtney is the Lutheran Youth District representative for Kansas and a junior volunteer at Shiloh Ranch Ministries. She says she loves Mr. Massey's American Studies class because he makes class exciting and she gets to better understand the world we live in. After graduating from high school, Courtney plans on attending college and entering into the Animal Pathway. Courtney says she has a dog named Val, a sister, Claire, who is in the 8th grade, and her parents own Housemaster Home Inspections.

Jocelyn Burnett








 

Jocelyn Burnett is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the track team and a member of Stang Gang (vocal). Jocelyn says she also supports her older brother at his varsity games. Jocelyn says she loves to help people and she looks up to Mrs. Haynes and Ms. Waldron because they always motivate her to do the best she can be. After graduating from high school, she would like to become a cosmetologist but is unsure which college she will attend at this time. Jocelyn would like everyone to know that her hard-working mom and amazing teachers help her achieve and be on the right track for her future.

Stoughton Wintholz










 

Stoughton Wintholz is a senior at Salina Central High School. He participates in school activities  by being the captain of the cross country team, a member of the mens' swimming and track and field team, Choraliers and Freespirit, Link Crew, Writing Center and student government. Outside of school, he participates as a choir member at First Covenant Church and is also a YMCA lifeguard. Stoughton says the best part about school is the relationships he forms throughout his athletic activities. After graduating from high school, Stoughton has already joined the Army Reserve and he plans on attending Washburn University to run and study photography.

Freddy Briseno-Ceja










 

Freddy Briseno-Ceja is a sixth grader at South Middle School. He says his favorite subject at South Middle is math and he enjoys going to school every day and learning. He says his favorite teacher is Mr. G. After graduating from high school, Freddy would like to attend K-State University, get onto their baseball team and keep up good grades. In his spare time, Freddy likes playing baseball and has been playing since he was six years old. Freddy says he is from California.

Megan Householter










 

Megan Householter is a junior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the soccer team and Model UN her freshman and sophomore year. Outside of school, she participates in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, assistant soccer coach and Club Soccer with Mid-Kansas United. Megan says most of her teachers have been fun and made classes interesting. After graduating from high school, Megan would like to attend either K-State or Fort Hays University and major in education being either a science or history teacher. Megan says her mother is a teacher at South Middle and she has 2 sisters and 6 pets. She says she has also played soccer since kindergarten.

Levi Losey







 

Levi Losey is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the football, basketball and tennis team. Levi says the best part about school is how his teachers make learning fun and he also loves playing basketball. After graduating from high school, Levi plans on attending Kansas State University but is unsure of his major at this time. In his spare time, Levi says he plays the guitar.

Vy Le is a freshman at Salina Central High School. She participates in school activities  by being a member of the orchestra. Outside of school, she participates in HOSA and Key Club. Vy says she really likes taking Advanced English at Central because the people in her class are funny and her teacher is really nice. After graduating from high school, Vy plans on attending KU and anesthesia school to become a CRNA. Vy says she is currently taking French and this will be her third language, her favorite TV show is Grey's Anatomy and she is terrified of speaking in front of other people so oral presentations are hard for her.

Allie Bray









 

Allie Bray is a seventh grader at South Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the yearbook staff and the volleyball team at South Middle. Outside of school, she participates in her church youth group. Allie says she likes school because she gets to work with people she doesn't normally talk to and stepping out of her comfort zone boosts her confidence. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending K-State University but is undecided on a major. In her spare time, Allie likes taking pictures and hanging out with her friends.

Dylan Henry









 

Dylan Henry is a senior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the band and swimming team, working the pit for musicals and being a drum line section leader. Dylan says the best part about school is doing science labs and playing in the school band. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending KSU and studying Wildlife and Conservation Biology. In his spare time, Dylan takes drum lessons and he is currently preparing for KSU drum line auditions.

Camden Hawkes is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. Outside of school, Camden participates in the First Tee golf. He says the best part about school is that all the teachers at Lakewood Middle are nice. After graduating from high school, Camden hopes to attend college and get a well paying job.

Ben Acheson is a freshman at Salina Central High School. Ben says he loves helping kids in his math class. Ben says the best part about school is his cabinet making and welding classes because he likes working with his hands. After graduating from high school, Ben plans on attending Salina Tech for carpentry or welding.

Santiago Licon is an eighth grader at South Middle School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the guitar class. Outside of school, he participates in soccer. Santiago says that he likes all of his teachers and the staff are hard workers and care about their students. Santiago says he has a brother and also knows 2 languages.

Mia Dennett








 

Mia Dinnett is a sophomore at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the New Dawn, Thespians and she is also a drama club officer. Outside of school, Mia participates at the Salina Community Theatre as a crew work member and a performer. Mia says she enjoys taking part in theatre, choir and New Dawn at South High. Mia says she has 2 dogs, Moxie and Gusto.

Nicholas Kohler





 

Nicholas Kohler is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. Nicholas says his favorite subject at Lakewood is science and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Williams. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend the Academy of  Art University and study to become a video game designer. In his spare time, Nicholas likes to read, do art and play video games.

Vidhi Bhakta







 

Vidhi Bhakta is a sophomore at Salina Central High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of  the leader group for cheerleading, a member of the cologuard, member of band/jazz band and treasurer of the debate team. Outside of school, Vidhi volunteers at the River Festival with Oakdale Elementary school. Vidhi says she enjoys her cheer squad and head coach, Erin Williams; and also her jazz band class with Mr. Rohrer. After graduating from high school, she would like to attend med/law school. In her spare time, Vidhi enjoys going on long walks with her dog, Carley.

Sawyer Harris







 

Sawyer Harris is a sixth grader at South Middle School. He participates in school activities by being a member of clubs during Advisory. Outside of school, he volunteers at the Back to School Fair, plays baseball for Salina Spikes and basketball for Salina Nets. Sawyer says his favorite subject at South Middle is math and he also enjoys seeing his friends every day. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend K-State and play basketball. In his spare time, Sawyer likes to play sports and video games. He says he has a sister in the 4th grade and a brother in the 8th grade.

Laura Leger is a senior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the girls' soccer team, STUCO and SAFE Club. Laura says what she likes best about school are the classes that challenge her to work harder such as AP Chemistry and college classes. After graduating from high school, Laura would like to attend Kansas State University to major in mechanical engineering or kinesiology. In her spare time, Laura likes playing the guitar, piano, cello and viola. She says she also has 3 dogs, 4 cats and 2 turtles.

Holli Crawford




 

Holli Crawford is a sixth grader at Lakewood Middle School. Holli participates as a mentor in Oakdale Elementary after school Program Flash. She says her favorite subjects at school are science and art because they are interesting to her and because she gets to see her friends all week. After graduating from high school, she plans to attend college to study Criminal Justice or Police Academy because she would like to become a police officer then an FBI agent. In her spare time, Holli likes to draw anime and play video games. She says she has also played volleyball for 5 years. Holli has one brother, a cat named Jasper and a Chihuahua named Tinker.

Nolan Soukup is a sophomore at Salina Central High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of  the orchestra at Central High. Nolan says the best part about school is the interactive teachers. After graduating from high school, Nolan plans on attending college to earn an engineering degree.

Brooklyn Weaver is a seventh grader at South Middle School. Brooklyn says her favorite subject at South Middle is guitar and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Harris. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending the University of Kansas. In her spare time, Brooklyn says she loves being a big sister to her brothers and sister.

Jaia Varela is a junior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the pole vault/track team and also the dance team/Peppers. Outside of school, Jaia is a recreational and team gymnastics coach at the YMCA and she also works at the Alley. Jaia says she enjoys learning and seeing her friends at school. Her favorite subject is human anatomy and physiology and her favorite teacher is Mr. Lynn. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending Wichita State to study psychology or biology. In her spare time, she likes dancing, hanging out with her friends, sleeping, making tik-toks and spending time with her cat, Pippa. Jaia has 2 brothers and 2 cats.

Citlali Alarcon



 

Citlali Alarcon is a sixth grader at Lakewood Middle School. Citlali says she tries to help students feel better about themselves at Lakewood. Outside of school, she participates in the Salina Youth Choir. She says they have their own Harry Potter houses and she is head of one of the houses. Citlali says she likes all her classes at Lakewood but specifically social studies and art. After graduating from high school, she wants to attend college to study digital animation but is unsure where at this time. In her spare time, Citlali likes cooking, painting, animation, watching anime and hanging out with her best friends.

Kate Jennings is a junior at Salina Central High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of  FCA and the wrestling and swimming team. Outside of school, she participates in her church student leadership. Kate says her favorite subject at Central High is art. After graduating from high school, Kate plans on attending Fort Hays State University to study art.

Cade Miles is an eighth grader at South Middle School. Outside of school, he plays on the Salina Puma soccer team and is a member of St. Mary's Church. Cade says he enjoys South Middle because he can learn and socialize with his friends. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend college but is unsure where at this time. In his spare time,  Cade says he likes working out, being outside and spending time with his friends and family. Cade has a brother, Cameron, and a dog named Merlin.

Travis Truong is a junior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the BPA and Politics Club. Travis says his favorite teacher at South High is Mrs. Chamberlain because she is friendly and teaches the class well. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend Wichita State, K-State or KU to major in business, finance or politics. In his spare time, Travis enjoys playing video games.  Travis says he has 1 sister, 1 brother and 2 cats.

Aryonna McEachin


 

Aryonna McEachin is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. She participates in school activities by attending the Xcel after school program through The City. Outside of school, she participates in Living Word Church. Aryonna says she enjoys all of her classes but her favorite classes are science and art. Her favorite teachers are Mrs. Gaskill, Mrs. Williams and Ms. Bobohotal. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending veterinarian school and culinary arts. In her spare time, Aryonna likes to cook, paint, sing, play the piano and hang out with her BFF's and friends. Aryonna says she has 1 brother and 1 dog.

Osvaldo Moreno




 

Osvaldo Moreno is a junior at Salina Central High School. Osvaldo says he loves going to the school games and cheering on the Mustangs. Outside of school, he enjoys going to church every Sunday with his parents. He also helps support the Salina Animal Shelter by donating food. Osvaldo says his favorite classes are conditioning because it's a great way to keep in shape, architecture with Mr. Hair because it gives him the opportunity to be creative and he likes being Ms. Mai's aide because she helps keep him on track. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending Kansas State University to study architecture or engineering. In his spare time, Osvaldo likes working out with his gym buddies and playing with his crazy puppy.

Dayton Brown is a sixth grader at South Middle School. Outside of school, he participates in the Special Olympics. Dayton says he enjoys PE at South Middle because Mr. Haynes is a great teacher. In his spare time, Dayton says he enjoys playing with his brother and twin sisters.

Kylie Arnold




 

Kylie Arnold is a sophomore at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the cross country and girls' basketball teams. Kylie says every sports team she has played on are good groups of people and fun to be around even when not competing. This year she says she has enjoyed being in chemistry and conditioning. After graduating from high school, she would like to attend Pittsburg State or Ft. Hays to play basketball. Eventually she would like to study dentistry and become a pediatric dentist. In her spare time, Kylie enjoys staying active and running 5Ks with her dad in addition to spending quality time with her family.

Keelie Hill is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the band. Keelie says her favorite subject at Lakewood is math and the Team 5 teachers (Nay, Fenn, Emig and Jenkins) are the best. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending college and going into either nursing or medicine. Keelie says she has a brother, 2 dogs and a cat.

Madeline Paradis



 

Madeline Paradis is a senior at Salina Central High School. She participates in school activities by being the Stuco president, editor-in-chief of the Pylon and theatre executive board member. Outside of school, she participates as a Healthy Lifestyles panelist. She says her favorite part of high school has been the supportive teachers and staff at Central. After graduating from high school, Madeline plans on studying graphic design.

Philipz Phachanla is a sixth grader at South Middle School. Philipz says his favorite subject at South Middle is math because he can learn a lot of things. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend college but is unsure where at this time. In his spare time, Philipz says he likes to read and his mom and dad are from Laos.

Peyton Froome



 

Peyton Froome is a senior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of mathletes, Science Olympiad, newspaper, student council, senior class president, NHS president and she is also a member of the volleyball and softball team at South High. Outside of school, Peyton participates in Relay for Life, coaches a volleyball youth team and volunteers at youth sports camps. She says her favorite subject is history because it teaches important lessons and feels more personal than math or science. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending K-State with an undecided major. In her spare time, Peyton works at Pretzelmaker and likes to read and hang out with her dog.

Caroline Fields
 

Caroline Fields is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the volleyball team and jazz band. Outside of school, Caroline participates in her church youth group. She says the best part about school is jazz band because she likes to play fun music with her friends and she says Mr. Montoya is the best. Caroline says she hasn't made any plans yet after she graduates from high school. In her spare time, Caroline enjoys gymnastics and playing volleyball with a club volleyball team. She says she also enjoys turkey hunting and traveling with her family.

Evan Bishop


 

Evan Bishop is a senior at Salina Central High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the football and the track and field team. Outside of school, he participates in the Relay for Life. Evan says his favorite subjects at Central High are math and engineering. After graduating from high school, Evan plans on attending Baker University to study engineering and play football.

Hao Tran


 

Hao Tran is a seventh grader at South Middle School. Outside of school, she attends church. Hao says she likes school because it will lead her to something good in life. Her favorite class is social studies and her favorite teachers are Mrs. Shobe and Mr. Allen. Hao says she plans to get good grades in high school and be involved in some kind of sport. After graduating from high school she would like to attend a college somewhere in Kansas City. In her spare time, she enjoys playing badminton. Hao says she is Vietnamese and is currently learning Korean, Vietnamese and French and would like to go to Asia someday (specifically South Korea).

Dev Patel


 

Dev Patel is a junior at Salina South High School. Dev says he does not participate in any school activities but is a dedicated fan. Outside of school, he participates in the Relay for Life. Dev says he loves Paw-Mart and his favorite teacher at South High is Mrs. Chamberlain because he likes her teaching style. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending K-State to major in business or engineering.

Madelyn Craft 

Madelyn Craft is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the volleyball team and jazz band. Madelyn says she likes school because of all of her classes and teachers. Her favorite subject is social studies because of what she learns in that class.  After graduating from high school, she would like to attend KU and study something that involves the medical field. In her spare time, Madelyn loves to play music and volleyball.

Charlie Truelove

 

Charlie Truelove is a freshman at Salina Central High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the orchestra where he plays cello and a member of the Scholar's Bowl, Stuco and One Acts (fall). Charlie says the best part about school is learning about things that he is passionate about. He says the Scholar's Bowl lets him focus on more obscure information. After graduating from high school, he plans on studying cinematography or storyboarding. In his spare time, Charlie likes doing photography and watching horror movies.

Adalyne Saner

 

Adalyne Saner is a sixth grader at South Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the Old Disney Movie Club and Netflix Club. Outside of school, she volunteers at Coronado Elementary, is a company dancer at Tamara Howe School of Dance, plays volleyball and participates in Breakout at First Covenant Church. Adalyne says her favorite subject at South Middle is English with Mrs. Pommer because they get to have a lot of fun in her class. After graduating from high school, she would like to attend the University of Nebraska to become a kindergarten teacher. Adalyne says she has a sister, Abigail, who is 9 years old and a dog named Penny.

Devon Junghans

 

Devon Junghans is a junior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the basketball and track team and a member of Stuco. Outside of school, Devon participates in the Junior Cougs, Angel Tree and the blood drive. Devon says the best part about school are the people such as his friends and teachers especially Mrs. Chamberlain who is always helping him when she can. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend K-State to study chiropractor or physical therapy. In his spare time, Devon says he likes to do anything that has to do with sports, video games and hanging out with his family and friends. He also has a bulldog mixed with a pug.

Ryan Springer

Ryan Springer is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. Ryan says he does not participate in any school activities at Lakewood Middle but would like to start a coin club. Outside of school, he participates in the Salina Coin Club. He says his favorite subject at Lakewood Middle is social studies and he likes all of his teachers this year. After graduating from high school, he would like to join the military. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys collecting coins and stamps.

Sam Cusick
 

Sam Cusick is a freshman at Salina Central High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the jazz band, drumline and jazz combo. Sam also attends math competitions. Outside of school, he volunteers at the Salina Public Library. Sam says his favorite subject at Central is jazz band because there's a sense of community and belonging there. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending North Texas University where he hopes to become a band teacher or a professional musician. Sam says he would like to thank his mom and dad for supporting him every step of the way. Sam also has 2 cats, Rose and Sally.

Annabelle Burr
 

Annabelle Burr is a seventh grader at South Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the cross country and track and field team and also participates in band. Outside of school, she participates in dance at Tamara Howe School of Dance and is a member of  St. Mary's Church. Annabelle says her favorite subject at school is band and she has enjoyed being a part of the cross country team. After graduating from high school, Annabelle plans on attending K-State to become a teacher of some kind. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside and hanging out with her friends. Annabelle says she has 5 chickens, 2 dogs and 1 guinea pig.

Brock Roets
 

Brock Roets is a senior at Salina South High School. He participated in school activities during his freshman year by being a member of the robotics and comic book club and was a school library aide for the past two years. Outside of school, he has worked at the Salina Public Library for about 2-1/2 years. Brock says the best part about school is meeting new teachers and students and he says it is fun to talk Star Trek with Mr. Massey. After graduating from high school, he plans on becoming a mailman and maybe getting a business degree. In his spare time, Brock likes to play the guitar and bass guitar. He also enjoys building computers.

Noah Peck







 

Noah Peck is a sixth grader at Lakewood Middle School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the basketball, football and baseball team at Lakewood Middle. Noah says PE is his favorite subject because he loves playing dodgeball. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending the University of Kansas (KU). Noah says he has two dogs and two miniature donkeys.

Joshua Warner  

Joshua Warner is a sophomore at Salina Central High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the Thespian Troupe #639, actor in one act plays and musicals, Choraliers, District Honor Choir and a Mustang media reporter. Outside of school, he volunteers at Catholic Charities and the Morrison House and attends St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Church. Joshua says his favorite class is A/V Productions and journalism and his favorite teachers are Ms. Dinkel, Mr. Garber and Mr. Holmquist. After graduating from high school, he would like to major in broadcast journalism and attend either the University of Nebraska or the University of Kansas. In his spare time, Joshua likes playing video games and hanging out with his friends. He says he is also a huge sports fan. Joshua has a sister, Jaycie, and a super cool dog named Jeeps.

Quevon Purucker is an eighth grader at South Middle School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the basketball team where he plays the small forward and contributes mainly on defense and he participates in track where he runs the 400m and 4x400m. Quevon says he likes history class at South Middle because it teaches him about the past. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend Memphis College on a scholarship for either track or basketball. In his spare time, Quevon likes playing basketball, being with his friends and playing 2K.

Lindsay Brown is a senior at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the girls' golf team and band where she was clarinet section leader in 10th and 11th grade and drum major in 12th grade. She is also the treasurer of the South National Honor Society. Lindsay says her favorite class is AP  Chemistry because she loves doing labs and she says her teacher, Mrs. Chamberlain, is amazing. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending Kansas State University to pursue a degree in medical laboratory science. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys playing golf, cheering on the Wildcats, spending time with her friends, band, and playing with her dog.

Tommy Payne is a sixth grader at Lakewood Middle School. He participates in school activities by being a leader in his classroom for all of his teams. Outside of school, Tommy enjoys playing sports. Tommy says he likes middle school more than he did elementary. He says he likes math, band and PE at Lakewood and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Chitty because she makes everything fun. After graduating from high school, Tommy wants to play basketball. He says if that doesn't work out, he plans on attending KSU to study to become a doctor. In his spare time, Tommy says he loves playing sports, spending time with his family and pets, hanging out with his friends, attending church and helping others.

Alessandra Fischer is a sophomore at Salina Central High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the cheerleading squad, colorguard and the Salina Central band. Outside of school, Alessandra volunteers for SRL Dog Rescue. Alessandra says she likes everything about school especially Coach Williams, Mr. Garber, Mrs. Hoff and her cheer squad. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending college and majoring in product design. Alessandra says she has a sister, Gabby, and 2 dogs, Sammy and Montana.

After graduating from high school, she wants to go into the Human Services field as a therapist/social worker but is undecided which college she will attend at this time. Morgan says the best part about South High are the teachers and coaches that invest a lot of time into the students' success and she also enjoys Mrs. Chamberlain's AP Chemistry class. After graduating from high school, Morgan plans on playing soccer and majoring in pre-medicine but is undecided on a college at this time. Annabelle says her favorite classes at Lakewood Middle are band because she gets to play her instrument and Advanced English because they read a lot. Annabelle says her favorite teacher is Mr. Montoya. After graduating from high school, she would like to attend college and become a veterinarian or a photographer. In her spare time, Annabelle enjoys watching movies with her family. She says she also has a dog.

Outside of school, Joshua participates in the community theatre and helps out at the concession stands. He says he enjoys musical theatre at Central High and he really likes his teacher/director. His favorite subject is Apush with Ms. Hoff. After graduating from high school, Joshua plans on attending Indiana University and getting his Bachelors in Fine Arts then becoming a professional performer. In his spare time, Joshua says he loves playing basketball with the Recreation league.

He participates in school activities by being a member of the football and basketball team, participating in Healthy Lifestyles and playing baseball during the summer. Dawson says he likes all of his classes, teachers and coaches at South Middle, After graduating from high school, he plans on attending college and studying engineering or criminal justice. Noah Holen is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the National Jr. Beta Club. Outside of school, he participates in Salina Parks and Recreation soccer. Noah says his favorite class at Lakewood is science because he enjoys learning about biology and cell functions and he enjoys learning something new every day. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending the University of Alabama to study marine biology and hopes to work at Dolphin Island Sea Lab. Noah says his dad is a Blackhawk pilot for the Army and that he, his parents and two little brothers have lived in seven different states and Germany.

Savannah Campbell is a senior at Salina Central High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of One Acts theatre shows and the vice-president of JAG-K. Outside of school, she attends New Community Christian Church and attends Womens'  Bible Study every Thursday. Savannah says she is a life-long learner. She loves the power of knowledge and says that JAG has been a great part of her high school career.  After graduating from high school, she plans on attending a small community college and working her way toward law school. Savannah says she depends on her kitty, Shylo, for helping her with her stress and worries so she can attend school and work hard.

Anthony Barraza is an eighth grader at South Middle School. He participates in school activities by helping out at assemblies, concessions, vocational programs and pep rallies. Outside of school, Anthony attends church with his mom and plays the drum while the choir sings. Anthony says he really likes his teacher, Mrs. Barber, at South Middle. In his spare time, Anthony loves listening to all music especially Elvis Presley and he likes dancing. He also enjoys watching "I Love Lucy" and "The Three Stooges". Anthony says he also has a therapy cat.

Danielle says the best part about Lakewood is having different teachers for different classes. After graduating from high school, she would like to become an interior designer.  Danielle says she has an older sister, Asbey and a younger sister, Hannah.

Chase Freeman is a sixth grader at South Middle School. He participated in school activities at Coronado Elementary by being a member of board game club for two years and he also participated in CIA. Outside of school, he volunteers to  help students at Coronado with reading and math. He also plays baseball for the Salina Sharks and football for the Jr. Cougars. Chase says his favorite subject is P.E. because it is an hour long and he likes the games that they play. After graduating from high school, he wants to be an engineer of some kind at KU. Rock Chalk! Chase says he is also a Denver Broncos fan and has two dogs named Miley and Remi.

Outside of school, she is currently employed at the Salina Regional Health Center. Mystique says she really likes the teachers at South High because they encourage her and help her to be successful in her high school career. She says Mr. Wendell, Lynn and Massey have been really great. After graduating from high school, Mystique plans on attending K-State and majoring in architecture.

Morgan McCullum is a sixth grader at Lakewood Middle School. Outside of school, she participates in the Salina Youth Choir. Morgan says she likes all of her teachers at Lakewood and her favorite teacher is Ms. Gower. After graduating from high school, she would like to become a neurosurgeon but is undecided at this time which college she will attend. In her spare time, Morgan likes to play  Roblox with her friend, Mesha. She says she also has a dog named Piper.

Logan Losey is a sophomore at Salina Central High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the football and basketball teams and YEC at Central High. Outside of school, Logan participates in the Relay for Life. He says he enjoys conditioning at Central because he can feel himself getting stronger and he enjoys talking with his friends. Logan says he is undecided what his plans are after graduating from high school. In  his spare time, he likes hanging out with his friends on the weekend.

Outside of school, he participates in the Salina Aquatics Club. Sean says the best part about South Middle are all the learning experiences. After graduating from high school, he would like to attend KU Medical School to become an anesthesiologist. In his spare time, Sean likes hanging out with his friends. He says he has two pets - a dog named Penny and a tarantula named Pickles.

Outside of school, he participates in the KWU Orchestra and the Salina Youth Symphony. Nathan says his favorite subject is history and he also enjoys being in the performing arts. After graduating from high school, he plans on attending college and becoming a civil engineer but is undecided what college at this time. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys playing the violin which he has played for 12 years. He also has 2 dogs.

Callan Hall is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of FCA, basketball team, volleyball team captain, band and jazz band. Outside of school, Callan is a member of Shannon's Stars athletic and twirling club. She has been twirling for 9 years, has won 21 national championships and she now teaches twirling to 10 students. Callan is also a member of the Temple and Ark Church. Callan says she loves creating projects and making them unique to her own style, she likes having teachers that challenge her, likes being part of school sports teams and likes representing her school and being a part of something greater than herself. Callan plans to attend college and hopefully get to be the feature twirler for her university. Callan says that her family is very supportive and she is thankful for all that they do for her.

Jasmine Bledsoe is a sophomore at Salina Central High School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the Robotics Club and is a mentor for First Lego League. Jasmine says her favorite teacher at Central is Mrs. Werth because she is a good teacher in general and tells the class what they need to do. Jasmine is unsure of her plans after graduating from high school.

Ava Lemaster is an eighth grader at South Middle School. She participates in school activities by being the 8th grade STUCO vice president, plays on the volleyball, basketball and track team and participates in orchestra and advanced guitar. Ava says her favorite part of school is advanced guitar. She says Mr. Gerry is an exceptional teacher who never has a boring day. After graduating from high school, Ava says she plans to attend K-State University and major in veterinary medicine with the hope of becoming a large animal vet. In her spare time, she plays club volleyball, softball and enjoys competitive BPCRA (Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Association) shooting matches with her family.

After graduating from high school, she plans on attending college but is unsure where at this time. After graduating from high school, Evan wants to play football at the University of Nebraska. Nicholas Lake is a senior at Salina South High School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the South High Robotics club. Nicholas says what he likes best about school is expanding his knowledge, specifically through his involvement with the Robotics Club because this ties in with the major he wants to pursue and lead him into participating with the Formula SAE Team and Kansas State. After graduating from high school, he plans to major in mechanical engineering at Kansas State University. In his spare time, Nicholas likes to perform vehicle maintenance on his own car and likes to draw cars when he is bored. He loves cars, particularly 1990 and early 2000 Japanese cars.

Calum Johnson is an eighth grader at Lakewood Middle School. He participates in school activities by being a member of the jazz band and a member of the track team. Outside of school, Calum helps pack meals for the hungry in Africa. Calum says his favorite subject at Lakewood Middle is jazz band. He says it is harder than regular band but the music is better. His favorite teacher is Mr. Hines who he says is nice and gives high fives in the hallway.  After graduating from high school, Calum plans on attending Washburn to study law. In his spare time, he likes playing baseball.

Thalia Herrman is a junior at Salina Central High School where she has a 3.8 GPA. She participates in school activities by being a member of the band where she is section leader, a member of the Book Club and Eco-meet and plays on the softball team. Outside of school, Thalia participates in the Love Chloe foundation., Thalia says her favorite subject at Salina Central is band because she likes to express herself and loves music. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending an out-of-state college and study to become an accountant. Thalia says she has a turtle named Wilson and a dog named Prudence.

She participates in school activities by being a member of the cross country team and is the 7th grade president of Student Council. Shiloh says her favorite part of school is learning new things. Her favorite subject is reading because she says it's really fun. After graduating from high school, Shiloh would like to become an architect but is unsure of which college she will attend. In her spare time, Shiloh is a competitive dancer at Stepz Dance Company and is also on the swim team, the Salina Aquatics Club.

Outside of school, Maeci is a section leader in band, helps with VBS at her church and teaches preschool Sunday school. Maeci says she really likes managing the boys' swim team because she gets to hang out with her friends every day. Camerohn says his favorite subject at Lakewood is math and Mr. Brungardt is his favorite teacher. After graduating from high school, he would like to play basketball for Duke, Texas or UCLA because he says basketball is his passion. He would like to become a paleontologist and study bones. In hi spare time, Camerohn loves playing any sport, hanging out with his friends, family and his 4 brothers.

Odessa Miller is an eighth grader at South Middle School. She participates in school activities by leading tennis warm-ups along with the other eighth graders. Outside of school, Odessa participates in 4-H and enters projects like rabbits, foods, arts and other things in the fair and she also volunteers in the community doing fundraisers. Odessa says she likes everything about school and if she had to choose, her favorite subject would be Digital Literacy. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending college. In her spare time, Odessa likes playing the saxophone and piano. She says one of her hobbies is bowling and she would like to join the high school bowling team.

 Maisy Lowers  

Maisy Lowers is a senior at Salina South High School where she has a 4.0 GPA. She participates in school activities by being a drama club officer, props crew chief, writing center coach, link leader, NHS member and a member of the vocal group. Maisy says the best part about school is her teachers and her fine arts classes. After graduating from high school, Maisy would like to dual major in history and English. In her spare time, Maisy likes playing with her very cute dog named Bindi.

Gabriella Olivares   

Gabriella Olivares is a seventh grader at Lakewood Middle School. She participates in school activities by being a member of the orchestra where she plays the violin and is a cheerleader at Lakewood Middle. Outside of school, Gabriella participates in Relay for Life. Gabriella says her favorite part about school is her science teacher, Mr. Ukena, because he is bright and funny and gets her hyped up for the day. After graduating from high school, she would like to attend Colorado University and major in geology. In her spare time, Gabriella loves to crochet, hang out with her mom, dad, brother, Alejandro; sister, Adriana; and her three dogs, Sable, Cain and Bruno.

 Ella Eaton  

Ella Eaton is a senior at Salina Central High School. She participates in school activities by being manager of cross country and track and a member of the choir and musical at Central. Outside of school, Ella is on the student leadership team at her church.  She says her favorite part about school is getting to see her friends and favorite teachers every day. She also enjoys being manager for track and cross country because it gives her a chance to get to know the coaches and students. After graduating from high school, Ella plans to study business and photography, but is unsure where at this time. In her spare time, she loves taking pictures. She says her friend group, pets and family are most important to her.

 De'Yauntrie Morton  

De'Yauntrie Morton is a seventh grader at South Middle School. Outside of school, he is a junior deacon at church and sings in the choir. De'Yauntrie says that math is his favorite subject at South Middle. In his spare time, De'Yauntrie loves playing basketball, cars and trucks. He also takes care of  his cat, Goldie, and helps around the house.

 Jennifer Nguyen  

Jennifer Nguyen is a sophomore at Salina South High School. She participates in school activities by being vice-president of the sophomore class, a member of the color guard and link leader. Outside of school, Jennifer participates in Relay for Life. Jennifer says her favorite part about school is how the passion of a teacher can positively impact a student. After graduating from high school, she plans on attending college and majoring in education to become a teacher. In her spare time, Jennifer spends time doing hobbies and spending time with her family and pets.  She has 3 sisters and a dog named Ollie.
