Get ready to be inspired! South High School’s Junior English classes, led by Teacher Lisa Mahler, delved into the world of Emily Dickinson's poetry. These talented students not only understood the poems, but also analyzed and evaluated them with precision. Since Dickinson herself never received any awards during her lifetime, the classes created their very own criteria for judging her work. To celebrate their insightful ideas about the poetry, they built and presented Lego trophies! This engaging activity not only fostered critical thinking, but also honed their communication skills.
